An electronic logging device connects to a truck’s engine diagnostic port and records driving time automatically, replacing paper logbooks for Hours-of-Service records. Under the federal ELD rule, most drivers who are required to keep records of duty status must use one.
The ELD device reads vehicle data from the diagnostic port and pairs with the driver app over Bluetooth. Driving time is recorded automatically; drivers set other duty statuses, review their logs and certify them in the app.
Yes. Authorized office users see truck location, movement, speed and status on the fleet dashboard, along with tracking history for past trips.
Yes. Drivers complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection reports in the app, and the records are available digitally to the office.
